During a session on a WaterRower, the level of resistance changes as the rower exerts more effort. The harder you row, the greater the resistance. On the WaterRower, the resistance is self-regulating and adapts to the user. Movements are fluid, without impact or twisting.

Part 2 of 2
To increase resistance:
- Pull harder as you move.
- Increase your cadence, i.e. the number of strokes per minute.
- Increase the power of your rowing strokes.
Warning
Increasing the water level in the tank will not change the resistance, it simply modifies the mass that the user is trying to move.
